Some Achievements of Sri P.G.R.Sindhia in BSG
1. Served as President of Bharat Scouts & Guides, Bangalore Rural District, for an extended period. |
2. Serving as Trustee of the Karnataka State Bharat Scouts & Guides Trust for several years. |
3. While serving as a Minister in the Government of Karnataka, played a key role in the success of the State-level Jamborettes at Tumkuru, Bidar, and Bangalore South in 1993, 1997, and 2001, respectively, as well as the National-level Jamboree held at Bengaluru in 1986. |
4. During the tenure of the State Chief Commissioner, State-level Jamborettes were held in 2015, 2018, and the 17th National Jamboree in Mysuru in 2016. He also organized the first-ever "International Cultural Scouts & Guides Jamboree" in December 2022, and the inaugural "Kalyana Karnataka Jamborette" in February 2024. |
5. Made significant efforts to keep the movement active during the Corona era, motivating over 5 lakh Scouts and Guides members and students across the state to engage in various service activities. |
6. Annual summer camps have been organized at the cluster level, with an average of 1.5 lakh students participating. |
7. Singing competitions are successfully conducted by the State Unit every year to enhance the musical skills and encourage the talents of Scouts, Guides, Rangers, and Rovers. |
8. Worked on improving basic facilities at training centres in Doddaballapur, Kondajji, and the State Headquarters. Grants have been sought from various sources for the development of existing training centers in Udupi, Mangalore, Koppal, Tumakuru, and Vijayapur. |
9. Encouraged participation of Scouts and Guides in government programs such as “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” “Environment Day,” Pulse Polio Program, etc., to raise public awareness across the state. |
10. Successfully organized the "National Morality Camp" organized by the National Organization for the Karnataka State Organization, along with regional-level camps in various districts. |
11. Efforts to strengthen the movement by uniting youth organizations across Karnataka. |
12. Successfully transformed many private and government schools across the state into “Sampoorna Scouting Schools.” |
